Shay Stephen received her formal art education at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. She was influenced by Patrick Haberman, in figure drawing and anatomy for artists. She was also instructed in fashion illustration by Justine Limpus. Her work is in many private collections including a sculpture in the Los Angeles office of internationally known surgeon Steven Hoefflin.
